You know, that makes one great logo.....
just went to the la county fair yesterday.
just before the gate, there were two large and prominent display stands.
one said "ask about our free bible study" and other stuff and the other had colorful tracts pasted all over.

and stated something like "el come mierda"
I highly doubt that would have been on the menu.

I just looked at him and said "no, we all speak English here, I just switch to Spanish sometimes and don't even notice" to which he replied "that's probably because you are an illegal immigrant"
uhhh, .... mister.... If she was 'illegal', there's a really good chance she wouldn't be speaking to you in English (duh). I too live in So. California, I grew up here so I'm somewhat bi-lingual in Spanish (although my grandparents were Irish). Ignore him, he probably can only handle one handicap at a time. I don't mind communicating in'broken' Spanish, although I do wish the new 'illegals' would do as their grandparents did; that is they made an effort to learn English and to assimulate.... it would solve a lot of the problems.
and what i have is depression.
i've been prescribed prozac and for a short time xanax.
i will only be on the xanax for about two weeks.
Good news W.H. .... I do hope it helps. If it isn't what you expected, or if you feel 'worse' (that can happen), go back and either get the meds adjusted or changed. Have you considered any alternative medicine (just curious)?

i just started reading this book dance of the dissident daughter.
the author tells how she went from being a devout baptist to being confirmed in the episcopalian church.. i am wondering how the epsicopalian church differs in theology and tradition from other churches.. this author sounds very liberal (i know that word just doesn't sit well with some sorry).
thx.
We don't, as far as I know, have an Episcopalian church in the UK, but they seem to be similar to the Anglican, or Church of England here in that they are the national church of America.
uhhhhh, that's not true....not by a longshot. There is no "national" church in America like there is in G.B. In fact, the Episcopalians are down the list a ways as far as membership here in the U.S.

{{{{{ SHELLEY }}}}}} Glad you're here among friends. Remember that there is nothing and I mean NOTHING that you can't overcome or reduce it's "power" over you if you just give it some time and space. It's been posted on this site before, but very meaningful ..... "Sucide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem" .... There is no upside in that solution, only a downside. Be good to yourself..... life's a journey...if you don't like the road you're on, change roads.
lot's of love and squeezes...

Episcopalians are like Catholics without all the guilt and hangups and papal bull. Sort of like: Catholics who overthrew their king and started a democracy. All religion is just.plain.silly, but theirs is much more positive than most.
True. About 20 years ago they started to become very liberal.... it's almost a "whatever" attitude.
i may well be making my first visit to a place of worship since i da'd tomorrow.
my friend marion wants to go, and i have agreed, a little reluctantly i must admit, to accompany her for support.
the service we are planning to attend is at a baptist church near where we live, and is billed as a family service.
I've never been a dub, but I'm used to a fairly conservative church experience. A few months ago, I went with a friend to their progressive church...wow, what a difference. Upbeat, contemporary music and a preacher with a sense of humor. It was VERY different, but I liked it. There was a great message that day about loving your neighbors, which are everyone. I left there high as a kite and feeling really good. Bottomline, like the good book says, man was not made for the Sabbath, but rather the Sabbath was made for man. In other words, the Sabbath should be a positive experience to recharge us in this sometimes very difficult life - at the end of the day, for me, that's what is important to God....not where we attend.
the doomsday code.
this is on in the uk tonight on channel four at 7 pm.. this is the write up on it in the radio times:.
'st john's apocalyptic vision of the end of the world in the book of revelation is one of the bible's best known passages, inspiring morbid fascination in many cultures.
TS SEEMS SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL IS THE ANTI-CHRIST HIMSELF!
Nah, he's not smart enough. He couldn't even cover-up his own son's involvement in the Iraq Oil for Food kick-back scandal.
